Photo CD
Photo CD is a revolutionary, digital storage medium for photographic
images. It was invented by Kodak and further developed with
the worldwide resources of Philips.
Photographic film, either transapency or negative, is scanned
usiing high performance scanners. The computer file created
is colour balanced and corrected by our experienced photographic
technicians. It is then converted into a 5 or 6 resolution
image pack depending on the use.
These image packs are written onto a Photo CD which can hold
up to 100 high resolution or about 30 ULTRA high resolution
image packs. This is a very versatile medium.
Photo CD discs contain a gold layer in the laminate and so
the discs have an expected lifetime of at least 100 years
in normal conditions.
